Amazon says to tag

AMAZON IMAGE WORKFLOW / EXP-002
Amazon currently requires a specific XMP keyword when a product image contains a photorealistic person entirely generated by AI. Drop in a JPEG or PNG to see whether the exact tag is already there. If it is missing, this tool can add it without re-encoding the image pixels.
Official requirement: Amazon Product Image Guide ↗ · Amazon tagging instructions ↗
We inspect XMP metadata locally. The image is not uploaded.
Privacy: image bytes, filenames and metadata are not sent to BLANK analytics. Only anonymous experiment events such as “checked”, “tag added” or “downloaded” may be counted.
WHEN TO USE THE TAG
Amazon's current guidance says to use the tag when the image features a photorealistic person who was entirely generated by AI. It also lists cases where the tag should not be applied.
Policies can change. Before publishing high-impact catalog content, verify the current Amazon guidance linked above.
HOW THIS TOOL WORKS
We identify JPEG or PNG from its file signature and look for XMP metadata.
If you choose to add it, the tool inserts the exact value into XMP dc:subject while preserving image pixels.
The download button appears only after the modified file is parsed again and the exact tag is found.
FAQ
No. It only inspects and writes the metadata. Determining whether Amazon's rule applies to the image remains a human policy decision.
The MVP does not decode and re-encode the image pixels. It edits the metadata container for supported JPEG and PNG files, then verifies the tag by reading the generated file again.
This first experiment supports JPEG and PNG only. Unsupported files are left unchanged. Broader format support will only be added if real search/use data justifies it.
No tool can promise that. This utility helps with the exact metadata step described in Amazon's current guidance; your media and listing still need to meet Amazon's other requirements.
